Fertility Feng Shui

A few years ago I wrote a blog post about increasing fertility energy using Feng Shui. Interest in the subject was overwhelming. Women wrote in from all over the world looking to increase the fertility energy around them.

I scoured all the books I could find on fertility folklore. I studied up on fertility Feng Shui. I reviewed Astrological studies on timing for conception. And I told women what I found.

And it worked.

Women who used these techniques got pregnant. Why wouldn't they – women have been using these Feng Shui remedies to increase the chances of pregnancy for thousands of years.

Have you ever been to a wedding where the guests threw rice at the bride and groom?

Uncooked rice is a fertility symbol.

A bowl of uncooked rice

In many parts of China women who want to conceive place a bowl of uncooked rice under their bed.

Rice adds fertility energy. In Asian folklore rice symbolizes a link between Heaven and Earth so we think of the child coming down from heaven to be with us. This is also the reason behind the custom of throwing rice at the bride and groom at a wedding, we are adding fertility energy to the ceremony.

Take a nice bowl made of porcelain, stoneware or china and fill it about two thirds full of uncooked rice (white or brown rice, short or long grain). And place the bowl underneath the bed in the center. Do not disturb the bowl until the baby is born.

Is the art in your bedroom helping bring fertility energy or hindering it?

Traditional Chinese art is filled with symbols and positive images. For instance a painting of many fish, like a school of fish, would represent the wish for many children. The Chinese word for fish sounds like the word for abundance (yu). Fish lay many eggs thus ensuring many little fishes.

Ever thought to take a jar of honey into the bedroom?

What could be a sweeter fertility symbol than honey? The ancient Egyptians associated honey with love, happy marriage and fertility. It was considered a gift from the divine. On the day of your love-making place a jar of honey on a bedside table with a pretty spoon. And give your partner a taste of honey to set the mood and attract conception energy.

My new eBook has much, much more. It explains how to use Feng Shui to increase the fertility energy in your home and in your bedroom. No matter if you're trying every help that science has to offer or if you and your partner are doing this on your own, why not add some of the things to your home that women have been using for thousands of years?
